IMAS, la forza trainante dietro IMART, sostiene il modello Mixed Ability per abbattere le barriere alla partecipazione nello sport, promuovere l\u2019inclusione sociale e generare cambiamenti positivi a lungo termine nelle nostre comunit\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Il Rugby Mixed Ability \u00e8 cresciuto in modo organico a causa della mancanza di un\u2019offerta che consentisse alle persone con disabilit\u00e0 di giocare a rugby. Nel Mixed Ability persone con e senza disabilit\u00e0 iniziarono a giocare partite di rugby union nella stessa squadra, rispettando le regole di World Rugby per il gioco a contatto pieno.<\/p>\n

Il Mixed Ability pone l\u2019accento su attivit\u00e0 regolari, frequenti e sostenibili. Inclusione e piena appartenenza ai club di base. L’autodeterminazione di ogni persona. Opportunit\u00e0 di interazione sociale per tutte e tutti.<\/p>\n

Quando il club ha creato il team Mixed Ability, ero scettico riguardo al suo successo. 10 anni dopo e a 52 anni faccio ancora parte della squadra e ogni venerd\u00ec vado ad allenarmi. L\u2019effetto positivo che ha sulle persone con disabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 contagioso. Non avevo mai giocato in una squadra rimasta cos\u00ec unita per cos\u00ec tanto tempo. Il legame tra giocatori di un\u2019ampia variet\u00e0 di abilit\u00e0 ed et\u00e0 \u00e8 sorprendente.<\/span><\/p>\n

Per Ronan, i Rebels sono un luogo a cui appartenere ed essere un giocatore di rugby come tutti gli altri. Per Aileen, questo d\u00e0 l’opportunit\u00e0 di sostenere suo figlio giocando nel suo club, come ogni madre desidera. Dopo 30 anni lontano dal mondo del rugby, la partecipazione alla squadra Mixed Ability dell’IRC mi ha dato la possibilit\u00e0 di riconnettermi non solo con questo sport, ma con i vecchi amici del club. L’ho fatto anche negli ambiti in cui mi \u00e8 sempre piaciuto muovermi: lo sport, le persone con disabilit\u00e0 e l’agonismo.<\/p>\n

Mi sento molto orgoglioso di poter contribuire positivamente con la mia conoscenza ed esperienza, ma soprattutto di aiutare la squadra a perseguire i propri sogni e ad integrarsi in questa societ\u00e0 in cui abbiamo reso le cose cos\u00ec difficili per molti. Sto ricevendo tantissimo da ogni persona, molto pi\u00f9 di quanto avrei potuto immaginare quando ho iniziato.<\/p>\n

La mia ascesa nel rugby \u00e8 stata rapida, quando giocavo solo da pochi mesi ho avuto la fortuna di viaggiare a Cork, in Irlanda, per giocare a IMART 2022. Questo mi ha dato pi\u00f9 fiducia in me stesso e la possibilit\u00e0 di fidarmi degli altri. Mi sono reso conto che ci sono ancora persone che hanno bisogno del rugby perch\u00e9 nel rugby Mixed Ability non ci sono barriere. Tutte le persone meritano un posto e si sentono importanti.<\/p>\n
